Bridge 125

Bridge 125 Rules

Get rid of your cards, dodge the penalties, keep your score low. Here is everything in five minutes.

Basics

  1. Match the top card

Play a card of the same suit or the same rank. Several cards of one rank can go down together.

  2. Empty your hand

The first player out ends the round. Everyone else counts the points left in their hand.

  3. Stay low

Scores add up over rounds. When anyone reaches 130 the game ends and the lowest score wins.

Goal

Get rid of your cards and collect as few points as possible. When anyone reaches 130, the game ends and the lowest score wins. Land on exactly 125 and your score burns back to 0.

Your turn

Play a card of the same suit or rank as the top card. You may play several cards of the same rank at once. No card? Draw one, then play it or pass.

Special cards

A♥︎♥︎

Ace Skip

The next player skips a turn.

6♦︎♦︎

6 Cover it

Must be covered: play another card on top of it right away. You can’t finish on a 6.

7♣︎♣︎

7 +1

The next player draws 1 card and then plays on.

8♥︎♥︎

8 +2, chain

The next player draws 2 and skips — unless they answer with their own 8, passing on 4, 6 or 8 cards.

9♠︎♠︎

9 Wild

Can be played on anything, but you don’t choose the suit.

J♦︎♦︎

Jack Wild + suit

Plays on anything and lets you choose the suit. Finish the round with 1–4 jacks and opponents’ points are multiplied ×2 to ×5.

Q♠︎♠︎

Kings Reset

Four kings in a row on the pile reset everyone’s score to zero.
